History
Taqueria El Tapatio was established in 1989 as one of the first taco houses in Houston. Over the years, the clientele has grown with the menu. With 29 years of success, many homemade plates have been added—from Chile Relleno to Enchiladas, Fajita Mix to Parrillada.
Specialties
One of the most popular plates in the restaurant are the Famous Mexican Steaks served in a hot skillet plate that are prepared daily in a homemade marination. The plate names are El Tapatio, Chuleton, Costillas De Res, El Vaquero, Fajita Mix and Parrillada with Shrimp.

Our delicious “Hot Bars” is a great catering option for groups of 8 people and more. Let guests create their own Mexican feast from our FAMOUS taco trio, tostada, nachos, salads and burrito bowl, with all of the toppings they crave. Each “Hot Bar” order comes complete with everything needed to serve a memorable meal.
